March 22, 200916 yr Hi People, the fan shroud on my Z is battered and looks crap. Is it ok to run without this? as far as im aware its only there to protect the fan so might remove it all together. Regards Andy
March 22, 200916 yr removed mine for cleaning and it looks so much better without. You gotta cleah the fan blades though!! i dont relly do long runs so cooling not a problem for me

March 22, 200916 yr The second purpose of the shroud is to draw air through the radiator over a larger area. Do you do a lot of idly / slow driving ?
