the o rings that go in between the two halves of the caliper appear to be literally impossible to get hold of, they dont come with the refurb kit from nissan and they dont come with the kit from ebay - you cant buy them seperatly from nissan or ebay and you cant use rubber 'doughnut' style o rings as they will perrish due to the corrosive nature of brake fluid..........sooooo iv been doing a massive amount of digging and iv found a place called 'manchester seals' that is willing to make 100 for £30.... well i want these seals but i dunno what im gonna do with the rest.......prefer to selll them on here

if anyone knows where i can get them from please please let me know

(you get them with a brand new calliper costing a meer £340.70 nissan RRP)

try an engineering suppliers or companies such as hyphose. they supply the pneumatic and hydraulic industry so may be able to help

are they a standard o-ring or are they a compression seal? have you got or can you get a picture for me please?

ill take a close up pic tomorrow iv got the good one and the crushed one ill have a look on that site cheers :)

Yeh this situation has been pissing me off for a couple of weeks now. Nowhere in the UK does a kit with these o-rings in. Total lameness tbh. I phoned Bigred and they can't do em, although he did say if I measure the old ones - hmmm let me give you a measurement for a swollen oring ok. Funny though if I send the caliper to them they will put new o-rings in...

anyway dude, if I saw this earlier it would have given you a shout. Just ordered 4 calipers worth of seal kits from z1 with these o-rings in ($44 the lot.) They do them on their own for $4 or so.

Give Josh a shout on the z1 parts email address and ask him if he can just send them in an envelope via the postal service for cheap!

A pic of two o-rings from the halves of one rear caliper. Good job I split them. They are square cross sections but these are dry/brittle with no squidginess! Consequently there was a nice build up of weird hardened crud on the machined seat the o-rings sit in. Scraped away with some acrylic i made into a tool.

One thing you got to remember if you get these made by someone is how thick should they be? Too thick and the o-ring may distort as you clamp up the caliper halves tight. Too thin and well they will leak. That's why I went for the z1 stuff as it has been tried and tested.
