another clutch problem

Hello, my car started being wierd this morning, i turned it on to go to work and the clutch biting point is now really close to the floor (was perfect last night) and the gearstick has become very very stiff to move.

any ideas?

The gearstick was a lot looser on the way home but still pretty solid, the clutch was still on the floor

I tell you what, alot more steering feel in the M3 than my 300zx! Heavier, and the clutch and gearbox are no where near as sweet as my 300's box was like silk, and tight as anything where as the beemers is a bit mushy and the clutch although now improved is still not that good, no judder tho like i got from the 300zx

Id say the two issues are related mate... perhaps master or slave cylinder leaking?

my guess too but i need somebody to confirm, the fluid looks full in the master cylinder but there is what can only be described as a light coating of sticky dirt all over the engine bay.

Not excessive but not normal either.
