It all depends on your budget really ;)

Personally i dont have a huge budget but dont wanna 'skimp' on tyres, so i run Falken FK452's.

HTH :)

Been looking @ some review sites -

1 Bridgestone potensa

2 Goodyear eagles

Falkens well down the list - but I am running 451's on a modded mx5 (wifes)

Well like i said it all depends on your budget. If you can afford really good tyres then do it!

godyear eagles are a great allrounder and really suit the zeds driving characteristics , but i run Toyo proxes II now they are fabulous in wet or dry and better still , your spot on , never ever skimp on tyres its the only thing keeping the car on the road

40 quid pirelli pzeros from petes tyres in stockport its like 'yea there part worn' but there a good tyre so they last twice as long, ill never spend more than 50 quid a corner, no point unless the car had silly power n was worth more than a grand.....and at 6 - 8 mm a tyre and fittment andbalancing you really cant grumble!!

Goodyear eagles are a really really good tyre,

Toyo proxes are quite grippy but do slip from time to time and wear down quickly

Falken 452's i find really slippy, ok for turning but they seem to spin on boost a lot and they're shite in the wet

IMO

Eagle F1's wet and dry excellent

Then Toyos wet and dry but dont last very long

Then F452's seem good but my first set

Phone up a few places and see if they can order in the old GD eagle (gds3 with the v pattern tread). I got mine via protyre for a much better price than the newer asymmetric eagles.

I have to say that mines no longer a daily runner, so i'm not sure about long term milage wear anymore, but i i've been running Nexen N2000 on the rear and fronts for a long while now even when she was a daily driver. I must have had 3/4 sets in the last couple of years that she's become a wekend car and found them to be a good all round tyre. They also look ok and not like teh usual cheap and nasty foreign brands that are out there. They're about £85 a corner too so even if they're not as good as a branded trye you've enough to look at another set...

I am running Dunlop Sport Maxx and they are excellent :D

Never had the back skipping out and has plenty of grip :)

My last Z32 had the Nexens...they were fine in the dry and looked ok too!....In the wet however they weren't so good.It was easy to spin the wheels and get the rear end fishtailing in the wet with little provocation!....My car was an NA too!

Cheerz,

Jez.

With any provocation in the wet i think most tyre brands with some used tread will be tail happy!(unless a true winter/wet tyre) I've always found them ok right down to the limit and mines a TT and does get 'driven' occasionally! Based on some of the guys putting part worns on, I think makes the point that some people will run with less tread as some people get rid well before the 1.6mm limit starts to get close! Somebody commented on my old for sale post on my stock wheels once about the value for money i got from one of my last sets comments like 'Are those lewis Hamiltons tyres' etc!

My car has Falken GRB RS Tune 2 tyres on the back that were supposed to be falkens best ever tyre that were discontinued in about 2002.

Shows my car hasn't been used much in that time and that the millage is even more believable :)

Many would consider 300hp+ as enough power to pay big bucks for tyres and your car is worth 2k-3k easy ;)

Although I do agree 40 quid for pzeros with 6-8mm is a bargain, nothing wrong with them

Ran pzeros and avons before "ok ish" in the dry but not so good in the wet, also noisy, Bridgestone compound a bit hard, but ware & handle well - think I may stay with the Potensa's

:D

Yokohama on the front. Good grip and posative feel. Maybe more so in the dry. Michelin Pilot Sport rear. Good confident grip, but not decided yet how well they are wearing. But like a lot of wide tyres still break away on a greasey roundabout.

i think i will end up putting some goodyear eagle f1 gsd3's on my car when i have to replace the tyres :D
