I've got AP Racing CP5200 Brakes and 330mm AP discs on my Vectra. Would it be possible for these brakes to be fitted to my zed, either straight on or via a bracket? Reason I ask is they are worth about 1K and I'm selling the vectra soon.

Here's a link to the AP Racing site about them; http://www.apracing.com/info/products.asp?product=Vectra+-+Front+4+Piston+Kit+CP5200-1027_1718_1062

Not really expecting it to be easy..lol

I'll take that as no then!..lol

OK, Can you put a set of front stock zed callipers on the rear wheels? Would they fit and/or cause any problems i.e. unbalanced braking?

im sure someone could engineer a bracket its a simple equasion to work out as long as the pcd is the same

It would be unbalanced and most of the braking goes on the front anyway.

I'm sure it's possible to make up brackets etc to fit the AP's but if nobody has ever done it before then it will probably cost more than a new brake kit in messing about.

Thanks folks. I'll just sell the AP's with my vectra and get big brakes for the zed :)

nah, give 'em to me for my GSi :D

I'm sure a engineering shop could knock up a couple of brackets for you. I'd get hold of a couple of big brake upgrade brackets as a startinig point. 4 pot calipers from AP have got to be better than stock 2 pot calipers, but depends on their size really....Not sure about the discs as it's then more of a fitment issue rather than size, so not sure what you'd be saving over an existing upgrade kit though ...Talk to AP's about disc fitment first if i were you..

Just had a nose a realise they do a kit for the Z now anyway! http://www.apracing.com/info/products.asp?product=Nissan%2D+300ZX+%2D+Front+6+Piston+Kit+CP5555T1000_1685_1054

Stock Z has 4 pot calipers up front and 2 pot rears :D

Any engineering shop will sort out brackets for you. Ideally you'd need to give them a spare hub to measure everything up. I did a thread on my upgrade a while back....

Seems like I have moved a few of the photos and I can't edit my post to point to the new location. I guess I could put a new post at the bottom if you're interested?

as much as i'd love to mate, can't afford it and defo don't have the space for it lol. do like my gsi though, i used to think it was bad to work on but after working on the zed it seems spacious under the bonnet and cheap to repair :D

Yeah, I love my GSi too, but I need something bigger so I can get all my fishing gear in it  Now that I've got a TT zed I can't justify the GSi anymore
