Intercooler Newbie Question

The TT has 2 small intercoolers as we know..

I have seen people with FMIC's.. Can you run 1 intercooler for 2 turbos?.. I don't quite understand how it works.. I presume the 1 large intercooler is probably better than 2 small ones..?

can someone shed some light on this grey area for me please, cheers!

    The FMIC's are actually 2 intercoolers either side by side on on top of another. there are debates about which is best, but the largest BHP car on this site is running up graded SMIC so...

     

    With FMIC you need to move the oil cooler and it can reduce air flow to the radiator and you might come accross fitting issues with a standard bumper requiring it to be modified (read cut up) to get it to fir, but looks good.. SMIC need no other parts moving and fit stright on
