The 14 Cyl verison is used in the Emma Maersk container ship.

You have to see them in person to appreciate them. I've worked on a container ship. The noise they make is incredible as well as the heat, especially when you're in the Indian ocean and it's 50 degrees outside! You can fry eggs on the decks.

 

They only rev to about 200rpm.

 

To start them, you use compressed air forced into the cylinders to turn the crank.
