Coupe to rag-top??

As well as my Zed I also have a 200sx (s13). thinking of having roof chopped-off to make a soft-top. Have seen pics of Nissan approved 'Onevia' and 240 sx (american) and they look good- have wanted 4 seat(ish) open-top for some years.

Anyone on here who can recommend a bodyshop/conversion company to do the work or know of a factory car for sale?

Don't bother mate - it's not worth the cost; plus taking off the roof weakens the structure of the car so it will need some serious strenghthening and you will get loads of scuttle shake. All that extra strengthening material is why rag-tops often weigh more than their coupe counterparts.

You'd be better off selling your S13 and buying a 4 seat rag-top. The first generation Merc CLKs are quite reasonably priced now and they are very well made. Or there's the Astra Turbo if you don't mind a FWD.

Richard:)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
