Hi all, Im looking at getting some new wheels for my Zed to go with the new paint Job but havent got much idea about fittings etc...

So my questions are:

1. If i put 18' wheels on will i have to lower the car?

2. What's the max width i can go?

3. Are there any recommended wheel sites to give me some idea of prices.

Cheers all;)

285's fit fine, all depends on the width/offset.

Jonce, best search for offset and you'll get loads of info

You deffo need to take Offset into consideration mate - it plays a MASSIVE part! ;)

Just for reference mate - i have 18"x9.5" rears fitted with 265 tyres and an offet of 35/38 (cant remember which lol) and that does seem to be about the limit without rolling the arches. Well it seems that way to me anyway :)

I got 17s on at the moment and are ok but would just like to get somthing a bit more modern than the Sterns. Just think the wheels won't look as good now changed the colour of the car.

Spoke to an wheel supplier today and they said that most of the time they put 19 inch wheels on the 300. How many people have these on. Surely i would have to modify my aches!!??

I have 18's myself mate - but there are plenty on here with 19's and i'm pretty sure there is no modifying needed :)

Had 19s on mine before I went wide arch. 19s fit fine, but the car will look too high though, so would need some lowering.

So is it deffo i will need to lower the car with 19's?? Would i have to with 18's?? How much does it cost roughly to lower the car. I ain't got the money for Tein's LOL

It's all to do with selection. You could fit 20" wheels if you have a very low profile tyre. It would of course look pants. 19" wheels are fine. Just make sure you select a flattering offset/wheel width. Nothing worse than seeing a Z with aftermarket wheels that sit really far inside the arches. Makes it look like a boat!

18's or 19's are about perfect and if u like my bbs wheels have a look at them in the forsale section lol.

Good, cheers for the advice. The wheels im getting are 8.5 front and 10 rear. Thats what they recommend;)
