Is it still The Beast for East, or has someone else taken over?

Any pictures and specifications would be great.

Can only speak for myself and mine is running 666rwhp (at the hubs) so about 750 at the crank. Also got 580rwhp without NOS and in excess of 600ft/llb torque which makes for interesting driving on the road. I do enjoy the figures but numbers mean nothing without some real world action hence my recent forays into competition. Going to santa pod on 21st and will hopefully post up a reasonable time now that I've had some practice with the clutch :)

Here's a print out of run. Torque works out at 626 ft/llb :)

Impressive numbers !!

Between 4000 and 6000 rpm, the engine releases 400 BHP.

I guess this kicks pretty good........

Do you use E85 or ordinary petrol?

I take it at your level if power you are running 3 inch for down pipes to back box? at what power out put does the a 2.5 system before restrictive ? and what about a 3inch down pipe to 3 inch to 2.5 inch decat pipes and 2.5 from there were does that set up fit in ?

I have a full 3" system yes. 3" downpipe shows little to no pressure drop compared to a 2.5" downpipe, even on stock turbos.

in terms of the backboxes, it's less important, from tests done in the states it makes 10-20hp difference at the very top end with big turbo's. The main benefit is from the downpipes

so a 3inch down pipe going into 2.5 would be a better set up than all of it just 2.5,

yes

no no no thats worse

if you use 3 " downpipes you must use a 3" exhaust all the way or bigger

as the gases exit the turbo they expand due to cooling down as they go further down the exhaust

if you go 3" and then into 2.5" you will create a bottle neck and terrible back pressure

ideally there are 2 or 3 ways to this

2.5" elbow from turbo into a 2.5" exhaust

2.5" elbow into a 3" exhaust

3" elbow into 3"exhust

or 2.5"elbow into 3.5" exhaust

this is sized per side of car so you will of course need 2 1 for each side

dont go from 3" down to 2.5" its a disater for tuning your car

jaffa where are you measuring the pressure from

how come they sell a 3inch down pipe to 3inch to 2.5 inch decat ? what would be the point in this if it does not work ?. was reading a few thread in the us of car using this set up and some saying it work? so whos rite and whos wrong here ?

they sell it because it makes profit

and its a quick cheap fix for those adding new down pipes but not wanting to buy a new exhaust but its not ideal far from it

I see I take it you have been down this road before and tried all this

I see I take it you have been down this road before and tried all this

ive been building high power cars and making custom set ups for 15 years as a living as specialist in these areas

ive just retired from doing it 3 months ago if you want to check my references ask noz

I see just looking round to see what options and what road to take
