Is it still The Beast for East, or has someone else taken over?

Any pictures and specifications would be great.

I think it was officially CJ's old motor, although I hear the new owner has had to pretty much take it apart and redo it.

Mac's has the most potential but not sure if he has had any recent dynos?

We have a dyno section and the top of the leaderboard is CJ's old motor.

Where can I find the dyno section? :hyper:

Nice one Mac. Just needs to post up the dyno sheet so it can be added to the leader board then.

It seems clear that there is no public list for UK 300ZX with regard to power, quartermile etc. With som many ZX-enthusiasts on the forum, this should be established and given access to for all of us. We are all interested in this.

Who feel strongly for taking responsibility on this?:slap:

i know of 2 motors that were built last year running the full tomie stroker kits, one down on the south coast and the other was being built by hyper sports in bolton and both cars running the trust 20g's so both have potential to be 800 bhp cars

i sold my engine and turbo set up to a member on here and that was a 800+ setup but i'm not sure if he's dont it yet

Mike

If you live in the UK

Actually matey we have a few fully subscribed members from abroad!

They paid their £20 and got their full membership pack and got full access to the forum.

Hi Mike, long time..........

I have finally completed my car after 4 years.

The trip to UK and Peter Rosenberg was a big mistake. He failed in everything he tried to and I had to start from scratch again. Expensive engine? You bet, probably £40.000 has been spent, and that is engine only, in spite of not so expensive parts from US. The point is that there are som many parts you need. Cost for work is not that much.

Last year I had 720 BHP and torque 850 Nm (= 650 as you measure it, pounds per square inch??)

The last 12 months I have taken a new and final step rising it to 850 BHP, torque 1000 Nm. Stage 4 heads, larger and ported exhaust in the turbos provided 130 BHP more. The engine now runs perfect. 0-200 km (125 miles) takes only 10 seconds! That is similar to the Coenigsegg performance! Quartemile I don`t know yet. So finally I can use the car now, the joy will overshadow the time and money consumption, at least I hope so. :hyper:

Have you any new project in progress?

And it's probably very good value for money if you earn in pounds. I don't so it makes it a bit more expensive :(

That's about $60 over here. I towed my sisters BMW on a car trailer for 400 kilometres in my Maxima for that amount of petrol

I did not know there was a full membership option. Thanks. I gladly pay and support the forum. How can I do this?:smash:

Officially the fastest time in the ZClub Hall of Fame is Gavin Balmer running a 300zx 2+2 doing an 11.387 quarter mile and 121.79mph terminal on NOS and Slicks.

Unfortunately as far as i know he passed away a few years ago, that was running a chevy small block but no idea on power.

It's alright having these highly powerful cars with lots of potential BHP but the only place where BHP counts is on the drag strip, 800bhp isn't going to make a good track car and you're never going to be able to use it on the roads so make it count - GET DOWN THE POD :D

the opening question was Who has the most powerful ZX in the UK?

Well without doubt the fastest time for the Quarter mile in a ZX is this one Mike Feeney 280ZX SWB 8.46 156mph

I know it is not a Z32 but it didn't ask that LOL

Ah but the Most powerfull and Fastest arn't nesessarily the same steve. :p ;)

Anyone with enough money can make a 300ZX go super fast but for how long? I am a big fan of Mac1's because he hasnt just thrown money at the car willy nilly he has researched and experimented so IMO when its ready it will last and prove its place.

Plus the fact that he is a big bloke........:D:mac1::cool:
