I have just been watching the news, with all the Vehicles getting stuck in the snow and Ice. and I am fooking amazed at how many people that have NO clue on how to drive in snow & ice, almost everyone they showed were in 1st gear with there foot flat. there was a BMW Z4(rwd) with his foot flat down, revving the arse off it, and was confused as to how his back end was all over the place.

half the dimwits aint even seen proper snow mate so they have no chance of driving in it...some spotty face kid went past my house last week and put his foot on the brake and done about 3 360 turns and the tosser still kept his foot on the brake:xxx:

well i had to drive home today in a blizzard!! was a bloody nightmare as the roads were slush. 2 gear pull aways off of a roundabout on half clutch still saw the back end loose grip.

 

spent most of the 6 mile journey in 3 gear but was wierd 2nd gear @ 500 rpm entering roundabouts!!

I was in Luton yesterday and had to drive home to cardiff, took 4 3/4 hrs. Watched one of the guys leave before me on 5 inches of snow, spent 5 minutes p*ssing myself laughing at him. Did the usual foot down and sliding, ended up being pushed out after a few minutes. Me, out is less than 60 seconds!

Also caught some of these pics on the news in one there was a guy trying to pull off in a white escort van with bald tyres and was confused as to why he was slipping !!:smash::wack:

there's a guy at work with a silver 350z (young suited type - ex-audi driver - doesnt know what car he's driving - you know the type ;) )- watching him try to reverse in the car park to line himself up last week was hilarious - back wheel spinning like crazy.

I've just driven 40 miles (and back again) just to play in the snow :D Such a kid!

For the third time now, snow might get in the way of me seeing the other half. It's really pissing me off now :rant: She's been snowed in at work for 2 days now and we were hoping she'd come back tonight but looking at more snow coming down it looks like it won't happen again. Been 3 weeks since i last saw her now :(

I agree with you kim, it makes me laugh at how hard some people find it to drive in the snow, its easy to get stuck rwd cars but its just as easy to get out too.

Just be sensible and dont rev the balls off it, if all else fails, go backwards a few feet and try again.

I take the zed to work everyday, snow, rain and shine, if you start to slide the zed kopes very well in my opinion, very easy to regain control
