My second car was a 1983 1.8 Sierra 3 Door(yup rare non-cossie 3 door) and that taught me quite a bit about driving sideways, and all my cars since have been RWD(apart from the Golf I have now). Thinking about it...if there were more RWD cars that young drivers could afford and insure maybe the standard of driving would be better among the younger/newer drivers. Look at what the young japanese drive, Silvias, early RX7's, Toyota AE86's etc! Look at the drift culture over there and the high standard of RWD skills!! Over here all you get is the I've-just-passed-my-test Nova/Corsa boys understeering into the nearest kerb!! I would guess most Z owners(if not all) on here have had many RWD cars in the past which honed there skills(if not have fun, but dont bend the Z!). Trev
October 6, 200223 yr Had a 1.8 Sierra myself - first company car. Loved wet days as I wasn't paying for the tyres..............!!! I do agree about the Nova / Corsa boys missing out on a proper induction programme........ ------------------ Dem. 93ZXTT Live by the sword, die by the sword.....
