Hey zers, hope ye can help. There seems to be an annoyin little rattle coming from the engine bay area when driving. The faster i go the louder it gets. When the car is stopped and idleing the rattle is gone even if i rev it up. it comes from the left (passenger) side and has me stumped. It a metalic rattle and happens same when engine is hot and cold. I checked all the usual suspects and nothin yet.:headvswal

I was getting this on mine, turned out to be the exhaust rattling on the bracket that goes across them.

The exhaust theory may be an option. Will lift her up tomorrow and investigate. Thanks for ur help. As for the bonnet its worth a look but the rattle seems lower down but will check thanks.

If you have n0on standard alloys with screw on centre caps these can sometimes rattle. Many have rubber rings behind them to stop this but the rubber perishes over time - then the cap rattles!

Thanks Wrecker, even tho i have non standard alloys they dont have center caps but thanks for ur reply.

Do a vid mate and itll give us more of an idea

had a annoying rattle turned out to be the dust cover for the brakes only made a noise when wheels turning must have got a knock.

Will check exhaust tomorrow and also the dust cover which sounds very possible the culprit. if that fails i will record the rattle and post it 4 ye. many thanks 4 yer help guys.
