Powertrix have released a new Street Coilover kit that has some very innovative spec and would make a far superior alternative to the Tein Superstreets and Tein flex kits and much better priced too.

Price is fantastic, and they are holding a group buy on them at 3zc

These look fantastic for a street orientated 300zx that would like the ability to perform well at the occasional track day :

Introducing our all new 2009 (SS) Sport Street Coilovers for the Z32.

The POWERTRIX Sport Street Coilover System is now the most complete and fully featured Coilover kit on the market. With all the same features of the original SS coilovers, the all New 2009 version now incorporates a dual Standard and Helper spring combination design to give more of a progressive rate single spring ride quality making the daily driving feel much more forgiving than standard coilovers with harsh linear rates springs.

Unlike our original SS Coilovers and all other entry level units on the market which required the use of the stock shock upper mounts and bushings, the 2009 Sport Street Coilover System is now complete with upper mounting hardware and is now a true complete bolt in system. With our new SS Coilovers, the tedious process of disassembling the stock shock upper mounts and bushings just to find out that you may need to buy new hardware is now non-existent with the installation. These new SS upper mounts are fitted with a synthetic butyl bushing in place of a pillow ball. This bushing combines just enough density to transfer suspension energy properly yet not overly stiff to help with dampening the stiff ride quality that is inherent with conventional race Coilovers and solid pillow ball mounts.

Also unlike most entry level coilovers, that adjust ride height through spring preload, the POWERTRIX SS adds an extra dimension of adjustment with independent ride height adjustability through the threaded bottom mounting brackets. With this set up it properly separates spring preload and ride height, a feature only found on upper line coilovers.

Geared for the aggressive everyday street driver with the occasional autocross and road course event, 15 way adjustable strut dampening is valved a notch softer that our full Race and Ultra-Lite Race Coilovers. However the kit is a formidable track performer and you can eliminate the progressive dual spring design by removing the helper springs and running just the linear 8k/6k springs. It is the best of both worlds: Daily Driver/Weekend Warrior

Standard Feature List:

Rebuildable/Replaceable mono-tube forge steel strut Body

15 way strut damper adjustments

Independent Ride height and Spring Preload adjustability

8kg/mm front and 6kg/mm rear with helper Springs (Springs available between 3kg/mm-17kg/mm)

SS style upper mounts

Regular Pricing is $950.00 but if there is enough interest, we will consider running a Group Buy to bring down the cost. We will also include the rest of our line up of coilovers for the Group Buy.

For those looking for a more track orientated setup they also offer their coilovers in Race specification and Ultra-Lite Race spec.

;)

look good, am looking for something but not till July and might be over my budget would they work out at about £750 at the mo??

Group buy price is $799 which is a absolute bargain,

£550 + shipping and Duty - so probably about £700 to your doorstep.

Its a shame the Exhange rate sucks so badly right now :(

The GB price on the Race spec is $969 and $1199 for the Ultra-lites.

when would the group buy happen, have I got enough time to sell a kidney?;)

only till feb 13th I believe, but I know they do offer regular group buys so bound to be another.

I saw this last night and I think I will be putting my name down for this. I was going to ask if they are any good on here, looks as though you have already answered my question :)

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the powertrix stuff is made by HSR (see driftworks). Certainly looks pretty much identical.

HSD, I've heard that also....although driftworks do not sell the Sports streets version (above) or the Ultra-lite race version.
