I just got 2 insurance quotes for the Isuzu. The protected price was £200 more than un protected. I suppose its a question of risk as to wether its worth it but i don't think its is worth another £200!!

I've never bothered personally, if i'd spent 200 quid for every year i was driving i'd have paid out 2 grand for nothing so far!

I think it was about 25 quid to protect my no claims with Bell.co.uk. Well worth it as well. I had some numpty drive into me a year ago and because there were no witnesses (that stopped) i had to take a Joint Liability, which would have cost me 9 years no claims!

 

I guess it's a different story when it costs 200 quid though.

what is anoying is that i will have 5 years no claims in march, however my current insurance don't cove my new car so having to change insurance and go back to 4 years no claims!! arghhhh!!

My sister payed for protected no claims and she was very glad she did when she had to make a claim! But like everything there is an element of sods law envolved, you'll pay for it year after year and you will never need it :p

yep, been paying £7 a month for 5 years on phone insurance....never claimed so now i have canceled it. My phone will get nicked next week, lol !!
