I have to say I was deeply impressed with this car, it needs a bit of bodywork doing but it drives like a dream.

Much smoother than a Zed! Not having a dig either but it really is a cracking car for the money. wink.gif

Gearbox is sweet and the engine is really quiet.

Mrs T is chuffed with her new car.

P.S. spot the Rot! LMFAO biggrin.gif

P.P.S. My advice to anyone is don't knock these cars, they are going for silly money and are rapid for the engine size...pukka motor! wink.gif

KEEP IT SIDEWAYS!

nice bit of kit bud bet mrs t is chuffed with it, guaranteed to stay on the road longer than our zeds LOL!!

Why is the SX smoother? Is there something wrong with your car?

At idle you cant feel the engine in mine and accelerating you can hear the engine but all you can feel is the pull, no vibrations.

Stuart

Just got one Timmy, to knock about in!

Tuned up a bit as well!

Very easy to tune, and very cheap!

Are you on the SX forum as well, whats your name?

Mark

Stu not saying that mate. But the 200 is quiet and refined like me old Mk III Soup was. Zed is smooth but nothing like the 200.

Just a personal observation matey. Maybe it's the noise of the Blitz zorst that changes things on mine.

Not saying that a 200 is better but my arguement is that for 1200 squids on a K plate it is stonking good value for green! wink.gif

Mark, Heidi is on as 200sxturbochic on the sxoc board. I have a login but don't go on that often.

Yup, I love mine !

I like the light power steering. It's a bit more of a sensible road car than a 300ZX imho for pottering about in, and if you want fun boot it, and wait for impressive turbo power.

Wolf in sheep's clothing is rarely as applicable. Hope she's reliable for MrsT.

I kind of like mine in a sort of anoraky way. It's probably rarer and less known about than 300's are these days, which makes it a bit mysterious. I have come to the conclusion tho' that the spec of a car is not what ultimately makes you love it. A 200SX is never gonna be as fast as a Z, like for like, but I have come to understand how classic car lovers keep a car for years and keep polishing it etc.

200SX's are just so damn confortable and easy to drive. They feel lighter than they are. Did you know a 200SX is about 6 or more inches longer than a 2+2 300ZX, but is narrower ?

I had one of those for 4 years - same colour 2 but I had fatter wheels - 205's all round which made it look nice. Cracking car to drive and very reliable too. Must say tho - I much prefer the Zed.

Had one from new as a company car for 3 years. Great fun and completely reliable.

Only downside was pretty crappy interior

Z is much more fun but cost of ownership is starting to become painful

Very impressed Tim, that seems a very good price for the nick and age of motor.

Need to start looking for a second car soon, might well follow ya.

Cheers

Martin

and you can get them up to 300BHP for not that much cost & they're 300Kg lighter than the Zed!

Bloody good value that ... nice one!

I had an S14 before my first 300 and I have to say, that up to that point, it was the best all-round motor I ever had. Regularly thrashed over 2 years from 80k - 120k miles, never a hint of a problem.

How do S13's compare? Anyone know, I'm thinking about one as a second car too, since the 300 is proving a little thirsty for work each day, plus building up miles too quick for my liking.

Cheers,

John.
