well i have a devin chip which delimits . increases rev limit to 7200 mapped for uk fuel. and optimised variable timing.

have you got a jdm speedo? if so does it read up in kph or mph?

its got 'kph' written on it but it reads in mph

mine was in japan till 2006

you have a speedo converter added. which delimits but is not a performance chip. if you go the ecu chip route it would be better with more benefits

mine is an andy p chip. i have two maps on mine which is switchable by an erm switch LOL

no its a duel mapped chip. replaces the stock chip. not sure on your revs perhaps the speedo converter tricks the ecu and then delimits...?!?!?!

I have an andy p map two chip.

Its not presented any problems, it has evened out the rev range and removed some flat spots at top end.

It also ensures you will have enough fuel when you start to raise the boost, and yes 7200rpm gear changes :) (mines an auto so it does this everytime)

 

And he offers a fitting service with a turn around of only a couple of days

think i need to have a chat to this andy guy i need to know what iv got first how do i find out, you see there is a rocker switch under the dash (not fog light one) lol! and a turny switch under bumper and a push switch under sill (i got no paperwork with my car shoudda asked a few more questions really!!)

Open the ECU and see if you have an aftermarket chip, if you dont know how to tell take a photo and someone will tell you.

Just take the metal cover off the ECU and look, the big blue connector is a pain to get back on correctly so I would leave that if I was you.
