with stock stat and koyo rad it sits at a steady 98 degC and the oil with stat and cooler sits at a steady 80 degC

:)

Is that not too high a temp? mine used to get to about 90 before the fan came in? Only reason is ive found a way around my fan controll poblem and i want to know the best temp to set the fan swich at to come in?:D

Mine is average 76-79 degrees, upto i would say 84ish is okay. I think Nissan state 80-82 as the correct temp.

Am using Howe rad and slam panel :)

Same for me with my previous TT, mid-high 70's (stock cooling system)

holy bugger, I have a stock cooling system, and my oil temp runs anything between 75 - 95Celsius or 160 - 210 fh , depending on outside air temp, -

170F 76C is my normal running temp now I've got everything sorted.

That's with a howe Rad, slam panels, Greddy IC's, bigger turbo's and electric fan.

solid ace stat fitted when we rebuilt engine after replacing head & gasket etc & has been running at 78 no problem!

My ECU reports a pretty constant 84 dec C, although on the blast back from Le Mans on a very hot day it was nearer 96 deg C most of the time. That is with a standard radiator.

Have you got a stock thermostat in yours jimmy?

yep stock, car has never really been booted properly yet after rebuild.
