thinking of getting her a mk4 golf 1.4, will be big enough for the dog and they are well built, went on elephant.co.uk for a quote for her, bearing in mind she only passed her test last week, chose fully comp and £100 excess, also put me and me dad on as named drivers

got a bit of a shock at the quote, came in at £533, was well chuffed with that

My wife is insured on the 523sei came in at £490 with LV.

The thing is she's still on her provisional.

Do you think it will go up or down once she passes her test ?

I'm thinking it will go up as at the moment she needs someone with her, when she passes she can drive alone. Not sure which one is scarier for the insurance company.

Female drivers always get he financial advantage in with insurance :(

Christ knows why? They may never have crashes but they see thousands ni the rear view mirror!
