caring for polished lip alloy wheels

I have just washed the zed and can see some funny looking marks on my polished lip of my wheels, I guess it's some minor corrosion.

 

How can I remove it, and how can I prevent it?

    my wheels are all polished and i use briliant metal polish (not brilliant} in the summer one a fortnight is fine but the winter with all the salt i do mine every week ,must get another set for wnter .

    ....that is of course someone hasn't lacquered them....refurb time if they coated in lacquer.
