no one will pay what the cars in the first post are asking for.

No, prices aren't rising for 300's.

I've had 4 offers so far for mine.

£6k from a guy on here.

£3.5k and his modified 300zx.

Straight swap for a Hilux monster listed at £9k.

£5k and 330 beema which according to parkers is worth £4k in fair condition.

A car which has got as many modifications as mine will eventually get the asking proce when the right buyer comes along. Yes I agree that it would be asking alot for a non enthusiast. However I wouldn't want to sell mine to normal joe bloggs. I woul dlike to sell it to some with a passion for the 300zx. Hense the reason it's not on Ebay for Jo Bloggs to bid on.

I think somewhere in the last 6+ years, you have lost your enthusiasm for the 300zx. Sorry to hear that.

Yeah 6+ years, got to admit my enthusiasm ain't what it was but I've still got the Z's. Not decrying the cars just trying to be realistic re prices. One thing that's been missed that I said early on is that there is a great amount of fun to be had driving/owning/maintaining/breaking/fixing a car that is essentially worth f*ck all.

3 years ago i seen my car in the car lot parked next to an mr2 that i went to see the 300 was more expensive but i fell in love with it however decided no i was getting the mr2 had it 3 weeks and a guy ran into it and wrote it off, thats when i decided no matter what the cost i wanted the 300 went up that weekend and bought it, and to this day i still love it as much as i did then even though iv replaced the gearbox which will now be twice rebuilt the engine changed the whole inside, resprayed it but at the time i had to have it, i think that if you get someone like me who loves what your selling you will get the money its just wether you can wait on finding that person

Like I said, Zs that tend to go on ebay are tired/people that want a quick sell. Highest bidders generally aren't going to pay what an enthusiast would on a known car in tip-top condition and vice versa, enthusiasts with tip-top condition Zs aren't going to let them go for a song on ebay unless they have to.

I bought my zed off e-bay:D

Ebay is the worst place to value a car. It is for bargain hunters who expect to pay less than the average market value.

I bought mine off ebay too, bought several cars from there. In fact I i'm buying a car it's the only place to look:)

If my car ever got wrote off, I'd happily spend 6-8k on these monsters like SMW's they represent great value considering the money put into them, what else could you buy with that power and unique looks.

mine is on pistonheads for 4.5k with its forged internals! would let it go for 4 tho

Nothing wrong with buying and selling on ebay, I have done so many many times. However its not the place to value a car correctly.
