Fitted the steering wheel! (thanks SMW1:bow:)

Had a problem, of my own making. Took the old one off in about 2 mins, came off easily. Put the new one on and did it all up tight, went to fit the horn and realised I hadn't put the wire on:mac1: Undid the nut and the wheel wouln't come off and all my pullers wouldn't fit. in the end I had to take the wheel off the hub and all the plastic surrounds and was able to conect the wire:hyper:

Love the wheel though and there's no light on so all is good:nana2:

Not my favourite style of wheel, but having a smaller one is nicer than having the stock one. :) I have a Momo Race at the moment. Kinda like it, but want something a bit more old-skool though like a Momo Daytona or Nardi Gara.

I think thats the closest thing to a compliment I've got from you;)

You'll notice it when you're cornering. Gives it more of a go-kart feel. :)

 

This is what I might replace my 'race' with. Quite old-skool, but prefer it to my current wheel.

They are completely different! :rofl: Only the actual frame is similar. Momo use the same frame on a number of their wheels. Besides, I don't really want to keep my 'race'.

So is 'amost' identical. LOL I'd like it if it wasn't covered in the little chrome pieces and the centre boss wasn't so large. I've driven a car with the Millennium before and pressing the horn is the strangest experience. Reminds me of doing resuscitation on a dummy for First Aid training lol ;)

 

Anyway, Zairs, have you driven the Z with it on yet? Feels loads better than the stock wheel doesn't it (size wise). :) Makes a big difference to the way it feels to drive.

What size is it, 350mm ? Stock is around 360-370mm I think.

 

I went for 320mm, feels very go-kart and makes driving a stock wheeled Zed feel like a Bus, but its too small really as it cuts out half the dials. Going to replace for 330mm.

Pretty sure Momo wheels are like 320mm and 350mm? Maybe I'm wrong. But that would put the Momo at a larger diameter than stock. I'd imagine stock are 365?

I just measured mine as 367mm (give or take a mm)

Guys, I really like the stock one. I think it fits perfectly in relation to dials etc and colour matches the dash.

agree with Chayden I had a momo race and have gone back to the standard. I might change them over and see what thats like for a while
