Yeah - I agree

NA Autos have been selling for under £1k for a few years now.

I bet up-close that car's pretty tatty. I've seen Z32s which are said to be 'tidy', but on closer inspection have look rather tired.

Also, I bet the car advertised isn't the car pictured. The car pictured looks like a UK car (TT).

i noticed that one its because of people like that selling them dirt cheap why they arent fetching top money at the moment.

mines provisionaly getting shipped to the states next month and iv got what i wanted for her.Aparantly there is more manual swb over there and auto 2+2 TT's fetch top dollar right hand drive or not!so if your trying to sell a good zed it might be worth a try as shiping is only £500-700 which they will pay for quite happily:shock:

2+2 TTs were never available on the US domestic market. All their versions are NA only. The JDM 2+2 TTs are quite sought after in the US. They seem to like the RHD and the fact that they are 2+2TTs. With importing into the US getting very tough now, it makes them a sought after car. The slicktop TT even more so as all their slicktops were NA.

SWB NA made up the majority of sales in the US when launched.

that explains it then....definately something to think about! if a few more left the country it would also make them rarer here eventualy pushing the price back to were it should be.

and the car pictured in that add does look like a uk twin turbo to me, the headlight washers are a give away amd the vents in front splitter.Could be genuine but i doubt it

There's more than just that. Yes the headlight washers, but also the corner indicators, the, the TT wheels, the foglights. It's deffo a UK car in the picture. I bet the one that's on sale isn't that great. Faided tweed, worn steering wheel, bolt tyres and rotten spoiler are probably the name of the game. It might be nice, but I highly doubt it.

Might be interesting to note, that the cheapest TT manual on Autotrader at the moment is just under £4k, which is pretty much stock.

i think you get what you pay for with a zed in my opinion. My next one in about a year will be manual uk TT without doubt(sadly doubt it will be pearl yellow thow)ive been frustrated with my jap tt as it is totaly standard and unabused and is in a lot better condition than most uk cars but there is a big taboo in this country against imports which is sad in a way,as you can never seem to get what they are worth.

Still looking for an uk tt manual, but one thats compleatly unmolested and in pearl white

IMO, I don't see any issues with JDM cars. People are starting to steer away from UK cars because generally, most are rotten with high miles. There are a few good tidy examples on here, but not many. I've never seen the taboo in them. I don't find them anymore expensive to insure, or harder to get parts for and JDM cars are becoming a lot more sellable because there are more around that don't have rot or high miles. Sure, many cars that have been imported have had their clocks fiddled with, but you can tell the ones that have and those that haven't.

I personally wouldn’t buy a UK unless it was absolutely pristine. I would love to find an immaculate low mileage UK car though. :) Pearl yellow UK cars are almost non-existent. I did see one up on ebay about 2 years ago and I think that was one of the few I saw.

You'll be waiting a very very very very very long time. ;)

They were never available in the UK in pearl white. The only pearl colour ever available over here was pearl yellow for a very very short while.

So how much not money ,troulble is it to convert a top nocht jdm n/a into a tt as mine is in a1-1 condition then that way theres no rot

There is another pearl yellow one on pistonheads (apart from mine) priced up at £1700 which pissed me of a little-but mines better anyway:nana2:

JDM cars are generaly better from what i have seen and as you say low miles and no rot usualy!
