Had a quick read over that, seems to be some good information, gonna print it out and have a read later..Thanks for the link

All non turbos are imports so its usually just as cheap to insure a UK twin turbo than an import non turbo. I insured my first Z at 21 and that was a UK manual, but they wouldnt insure me on an import TT.

danny

20 on a TT man Import for me was 1600quid :) If that helps at all :) Now 21 and it went down 400quid i was Overjoyed until i was reminded im still paying 2 or 3times more than all my mates XD

How much now?! 400 for an import TT? Who is that with? I'm 30 and still paying 580 with Keith Michaels!

Did you get my text the other day btw?

ahhh - so he does! I mentally inserted a 'to' in there somewhere. Oh dear - that's just rubbed salt in the wound that I'm paying 580 then... :x: Sorry mate!

Are you 21 years old? :x:

Also, i got my first zed at 21. Uk TT insured for the lovely price of £750! Swapped that to a J-Spec TT and the insurance doubled!

im 26 and have a 93 TT insured for 450...

guys - UK and Irish insurance rates are completely different. Over here if you are under 26 its very difficult to get a quote not alone a reasonable one on a sports car. I'm 37 with no penalty points, no accidents and no claims (full no claims bonus 5yrs +) and some companies won't even quote me on a Zed. Through a company group scheme that I was in many years ago, I have fully comp & open drive with bonus protection for €690 which is not bad considering anybody with a full license can drive it with my permission. Fact is though nobody except the misses will get near it.
