to the left..a healthy motor pulls good vacume on idle

Your lucky mate, mines in some silly cubic inche type thing, with a million different numbers all over it! (it's a mines face that was on the car when i bought it) And, it doesn't even work, haha....

hi

how can u tell if the recircs hav gone

I remember from your pics that yours were still in place, they might not be connected tho, did you get some new dumpvalves? because if not there are some like yours in the for sale section

because i took the blitz bov and it sounds like its dumping air through the filter so i was just wondering if was broke or some thing

half way to the left

half way to left would indicate a vacumn leak...although the gauge is not very accurate.

The gauge should be far over to the left.

Just out of curiosity. What should an aftermarket gauge (in psi) read on tickover. Or what is considered an acceptable reading?.

I think that's what the stock recircs do.

They dump the air back in the system ready to be sucked in again.

i fitted my boost gauge and on idle its shows -14 and when i rev the car its goes to about 8 psi at about 3000rpm

The boost gauge pipe might have a slight leak in it. I'd try that first. It is off the balance bar R/H (drivers) side.

That's perfect!

If it is VERY low, yes. I had a missfire problem once, it developed when I had the car in the workshop for a few days. I had ignored the fact that the petrol light was on :D

A quick splash of fuel and it was ok again! phew..

Thank God for small mercies- when I read the half way to the left, I started to worry. Sorry Pete.. looks like you have to go searching..
