Club Collection for Dick300

As most of you will now be aware, Ossain posted a couple of days ago, regarding the sad loss of one of our long standing members of the club.

For those who haven't yet seen the thread, here is a copy of Ossian's initial post

I had a call from Leslie, Colin's (Dick300) wife tonight with the sad news that he passed away at the weekend.

He had been battling a mystery illness which had affected most of his vital organs and had spent months in hospital, just before Christmas he had gained enough strength to be fitted with a pacemaker which was hoped would help, but this unfortunately was not to be.

I realise many of the members on here won't know Colin, he has been a member for many years but although he didnt post on here much

recently, he did visit the site often and was one of the regulars at the Scottish meetings. Most the Scottish contingent that have attended meetings over the years will no doubt have met and chatted with him. As a long term Z man and true enthusiast he was very knowledgeable on the cars and was always ready to give advice and help. Colin you will be sorely missed from the meets and runs!.

Id like to take this opportunity to offer my, and I suspect the whole of the forums sincerest condolences to Leslie, family and friends.[/Quote]

The Club Committee have been in contact with Ossian, who in turn, has spoken to Colin's family about the possibility of the club, and it's members, making a donation to the charity of their choice.

Colin's wife has been on the site and is overwhelmed by the response from the members.

She has asked that rather than flowers or a wreath at the funeral, a donation be made which will be forwarded to the ward at Edinburgh Royal - the hospital that looked after Colin for the last 5 months.

If anyone would like to make a donation, could you please use the Club's Paypal account (Paypal@300zx.co.uk).

When making a donation, please remember to add a comment in the 'Notes' section, clearly stating what the money is for. This will make it far easier for the Club Treasurer to separate any donation from the usual subscriptions paid via Paypal.

We will update you all with the final sum raised.

Thanks
