Airbag removal

As the title says i want to remove my airbag so i can take the steering wheel off and fit my a lace up cover in the house rather than in the cold and dark outside

Anyway does anyone know what sort of screws (torx etc) hold the airbag on i cant get me head round to see :D

    are you allowed to remove the airbag on cars in the UK ? over here if it´s equipt with an airbag you have to keep it otherwise it fails it´s MOT. just a thought.

    In the UK, if it's fitted, it has to be working as far as MOT regs go. You can remove ABS and airbags, but you need to remove the complete system otherwise it'll fail on it not working. It will invalidate the insurance.

     

    I think what he wants to do is remove the steering wheel so he can retrim it in the house and refit after.

    Spot on si i just wanted to know what screws held it on so i didnt bugger the heads by using the wrong screwdriver
