Fellow Zedders,

 

It has become apparent that even though some of the members who have put their name down for Z009 dont know too much about the event itself.

 

The purpose of this thread is for members to ask what ever questions they feel they want answering that related to Z009.

 

Firstly, the obvious stuff.

 

Its being helds held at Billing Aquadrome on the 8th till the 11th of may. As well as holding another national meet for zed owners, the other aim for the meet is to raise money as a donation to Cancer Research UK, including a car wash in drag and Karting.

 

If any one has any questions about Z009, post here and I will do my best to answer the questions, and if i cant, i will ask the relevant people.

That is why we all get together to raise some money to help out.

Right then, back onto the topic.

 

We are aiming at having one large communal area for everyone to socialise in. But until we know which exact fields we have been allocated at Billing, we wont know the exact layout of the meet.

is it all camping or are there any B&B's. (my bones are to old for camping)

As it sounds mate. Somewhere for people to gather and have a good old natter. Theres also going to be a pub quiz and a japanese themed party night, which will be held in the communal area

IMO it doesnt really matter what club(or clubs) you belong to or where you park.

Billing has always been about having a good time with as many Zeds of all types as possible.

 

Z008 did hark back to those earlier pleasant years at Billing and Im sure Z009 will build on that.

Its a good idea to leave egos and personality clashes at home for the weekend and focus on enjoyment AND raising some money for charity.;)

Guys, will all members that are heading to the event, bring their cars? I wouldn't mind heading across with mine but more importantly I see the list of members going, and I wouldn't mind having a look at the cars in the flesh so to speak, before I start ripping at mine. I want a widebody kit from my shortie, but I have never seen one in reality, just pics. Wouldn't mind hearing a HKS Hi-Power Silent exhaust if there is a member going with one too...

 

Where in the UK is the event? My Geography is terrible so I suppose the real question is - how far is it from Holyhead and in which direction would I be heading - Cornwall, London, Newcastle, Manchester etc..

I really am interested then. Looks like its only 200miles or so from Holyhead - 2 hours in the Zed if traffic is heavy :hyper:

myself and dave drove over last year colm, met up with car mad (dave) in wales mini convoy down, fantastic weekend, i will be arranging it again for this year, hoping to bring chewie as my passo, prob get the ferry from dublin fri morning back sun night, good family weekend if you also so choose.

and we did behave like reckless foreigners, kinda, no points, but great driving down with like minded people

Well Trish, that mini convoy might have an additional car this time around. Work permitting I'd love to head over.
