Well i decided to go for the Sony Ericsson C905 Cybershot with 8.1 megapixel camera.

It seemed to tick all the right boxes after about an hour of trying all the different models.

Thanks for all your replys guys:)

Blackberry bold does a top notch job. iphone ok, but some feel is a little more consumer orientated.

I suppose you would be better checking out who offers you the best roaming tarrifs?

Also wi-fi is a must to avoid internet charges whist abroad.

A bit late now but I got the G1 google phone the other day and its amazing!

I just looked at that, looks amazing!

yeah, its pretty special and because its OS is open source it gets better almost by the day as updates and new applications come out to improve it.

It is said it will be better than the iphone this year too and for about £15 less per month!

Well, the most exciting thing is the 'cupcake' update. This will include a touchscreen keyboard, stereo bluetooth, video recording and loads of other bits and bobs including a few bug fixes.

There is all kind of applications out now that do all sorts of things and others being made available by the day.

The best 'phone' I have had ever!
