Hi All,

Can anyone help me out please? I need to change my back tyres but my local garage told me they dont want to risk changing them unless i get some new valves!!! My zed is an import and the valves are metal, they come out of the dish and bend at nearly 90 degrees

Thanks in advance guys:D

You don't need new valves. I'd probably take the wheels somewhere else. They can unscrew the pin-valve that sits inside and screw it back in afterwards.

Thanks again funkysi,

They said that the valves break easily so i should buy some just incase because they dont stock that size or type????:D

I've had my tyres off and on about 4 times and I've never needed a new valve (same as yours). I had to have one of the little seals replaced, but that sits behind the valve on the inner part of the rim, but that's irrelevant to the valve itself.

There are only a few types of valves. There's the conventional type which is what you have (with an extension tube) and there's the ones that you have to take a dust-cap off and screw and extension into. Antera use these type.
