I bought the missus a v6 vectra for her birthday, she always moaned at me when I talked about the z and how fast it is, telling me how bad it was on fuel and how unpractable it was, I told her that the vectra was going to be a bit juicier than her rover, she said bolluks to the petrol, I love the power, I said to her that now she knows how i feel lol.

 

Driving down the road, she says, does this mean my cars faster than yours? I just smiled and said we would have to find out as I wasnt sure lol, aahhh bless her, I think shes a little speed freak at heart.

i love the V6 Vectras (Vectra B right??) i found them to be pretty quick and eally smooth power delivery but mine was the 2.5 (top end range)

your right, its very smooth and quite fast, its the cdx model with full leather etc, shes well chuffed with it

I don't know why people slate the vectra so much! I blame clarkson. I've had a 2.5 V6 GSi for 4 years now and I love it. Approx 200bhp (give or take a bit!) comfy (mines got the full Recaro interior), good styling and handles well (with poly bushes and uprated suspension). They are also pretty reliable, I've not had any major issue with mine at all.

Good engines the old 2.5 V6 units. GSis are nice and have a bit more poke.

 

I fitted the slightly earlier engine (C25XE), which has near identical block and heads to my old Astra cabrio.
