Just got my zed back today so could finally give it a good drive around :hyper:

On the down side, the car is far to noisy for my liking. At the moment it's got what looks like a K+N cone on the front and large single bore twin exhausts.

The exhaust isn't rattling or anything its just bloody loud!

Is there a quieter cone filter than a K+N? Also what exhaust back boxes would people recommend? It needs to be SS and I would prefer a quad over twin.

Failing that, is there anything I can do to quieten the existing set up down?

Cheers

Dave

I've an Apexi single cone air filter and a Mongoose rear exhaust system, neither are annoyingly noisy. The Apexi, to be honest, doesn't even register as being slightly noisy and the Mongoose exhaust gives out a nice "burble". Both appear to be quality items. :)

Mongoose is the one to go for. its just a little bit deeper than the std one. As for the air filter you shouldnt really be able to here that.

Its most likely your exhaust.

Hi mate

I have a jap one with jasma written on the side and its pretty good noise wise

i like it noisy. Unless i have a headache of course lol. Im thinking about changing my exhaust as it just doesn't look that great. Lol

Ahh, I was wondering what had happened. lol

The back box looks good, my only concern is will it be restrictive on a tt?

hi,im interested in the back boxes, bolt straight on ? any welding needed to fit.

Hi There Romaine,

Sorry I've taken so long to get back to you but my computer is still not fixed.

They will require welding to your system but this is easily done and should cost no more than £30 from what I have been told.

Andy
