PM sent, If you want me to do them for you pete, its a 2 day turnaround, but will have to be after crimbo cos of the post, but give it a go, its fulfilling lol

And YTS Weazel, unfortunately there is no off the shelf leds to do the pods properly, 501 led replacement for the dash, but the pods are a little trickier

Any 12Vf 3mm LED will do for the pods.

They fit perfectly in the 'holders' that are used in the LH and RH pods. If they're not in those holder things then they just sit about 20mm off the pcb. The problem with the 12V ones is you don't get much of a colour choice and they are general speaking not as bright (8mcd lol).

I've done mine and I went for lower Vf LEDs (1.5-3.5V and using a resistor to get the correct volt-drop). Mmmmmmmmm much brighter. TBH, i think they might be a bit too bright now. Whoops.

Thanks

No problem. I used LEDs that were between 1800 and 2000mcd and to be honest, they're a bit too bright. I don't do much night time driving so i don't think i'll bother changing them. But if you're doing a long journey at night, they might be a bit distracting.

Sorry bit confused here, but arent the light circuits hooked into the dimmer switch anyway?

^^^^^ What he said ^^^^^

yes they are dimmable, using the existing circuit.

There are alot of discrepencies in a certain post re leds but i cant be arsed to argue the toss:rolleyes:

Yup, the dimmer circuit is not affected. What i meant was, even with the dash lights at the dimmest setting it still seemed a tad bright for night-time driving.
