What needs to be done by me, what will the bodyshop do? How can I keep the costs down, but still get a factory quality finish?

what is painted off the car? bonnet, doors, tailgate etc?

who has the best reputation for this type of work? remember I am based in the midlands..

Cool, where can I get a S2 Daytona Blue LWB Manual TT? It will save me quite a bit of time and trouble getting it sprayed.

Hi Stevie

Zedworld have a Zed stirred ready for a colour change at the moment and they have a very good paintshop oppositre their new garage.

Smiths car is in being done at the moment I think

Give Jeff or Jamie a buzz and see what you/they can sort out

Tony

I'll give Jeff a call and find out my options. I am taking the ccar there anyway for a prop bearing and exhaust when he can fit me in.

Steve at Bodywork Plus, cant fault his work at all, and I am sure that the folks that have seen my paintwork will vouch for it. It wont be cheep though

I know you cant tell from a picture too well and the car had just done 60 miles on the motorway

Yep mines now at Jeffs bodyshop for a respray, again!!

Last bodyshop in Leicester after 4K spent was a complete joke, they claimed they rectified evreything 2nd time round, erm nope

So it's in Tamworth now :)

Just 1 thing about engine removal though, which obviously jeff can do for you as the bodyshop is opposite his place, if you want it done properly, it's all the extra bits that are attached to the inner wings that also take time to remove, quite some time, plus the degreasing part. So may consider masking them all perhaps.

Zcentre do inner wing skins that you just spray which may help too.

But deffo deffo look at other work done in any garage first and the set up they have, thats where i went wrong 1st time round :headvswal

One last thing, i replaced every single exterior trim, windscreen scuttle panels and all door rubbers to make the job better and the end result better too :)

Good luck!
