Want to transfer some tracks from a few CDs of mine to my Ipod. Unsure how. Is there a way of converting conventional CDs to MP3?

i tunes will do it automaticly for you as it uses ACC not mp3 ;)

 

just rip the CD's straight into I Tunes and job done.

yup, rip ya cd's to computer, then go through itunes to do the neccasary thing to get it to ya ipod

Neil, not sure how to rip CDs. I'm not that great with ITunes and that type of multimedia application.

put cd in cd draw.

open itunes

bottom right hand corner little button 'rip cd'

click and away you go.....

agreed but can they be used on anything else other than ipods? I hate the way file types are built for single media player types ... one for all I like to see.

TBH as i had an ipod and now a i phone i havent tried.. but if you put them on your i pod why would you want to use it any where else? i know my kenwood head unit reads ACC files.......

aren't aac files purely apple product based ?

Sony use AAC a lot. My sony head unit will play 'em.
