Who else thinks its ugly and slow?

Cant see how they reckon it relates to the

original 240Z. And look at the nose - not

a patch on the Z32.

Perhaps I`m talking crap and its just me. I`ve tried to like it but it looks like

a wide-mouth Billy Bass Dodge to me.

Me I also think they are bloody horrid!

Aren't they using a version of the new Skyline V6 though?

Surely in the future it will be available in a higher state of tune with/without turbos!?

Either that, or they'll re-name it a Renault Megane Coupe and install a turbo diesel engine wink.gif

Last I heard there where no plans for a turbo version!

I think turbos are becoming less popular

these days in the US due to emissions.

Perhaps they are thinking of 5 or 7 valves

per cylinder.

But the shape will still be the same ugly one.

So does anyone like it LOL?

Emissions limits probably spelled the demise of the Corvette.

Gas Guzzlers, RIP. Don't know how Ferraris and the like pass emissions limits !!

If only there were less people in the world, we could HAVE gas guzzlers without big pollution problems !!

Same thing happened with the gorgeous Aston Martin Vantage. Not the new swoopy Jaguar type ones, but the proper big hairy mothers that looked a bit like a Ford Mustang on steroids!

There is no way that Ducati's should pass any emissions OR noise tests either, but there is something about beautiful red Italian machinery that gets them through. Thank God!!!

And yes, I agree that the new 350z is about as attractive as a festering genital growth!

The demise of the corvette? what are you talking about now? lmao http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zeromain

go ask these guys lmao, the latest corvettes run 12 second 1/4miles and 11's in stock trim with slicks on lmao so i cant see how these cars artn getting through emmisions

350 was never intended to be a turbocharged car, its part of there market targets ect.

And aliminium block is a tuners nightmare.

Ronnie Corvettes were awesome at Trax.

Girlie ran a 5.1 0-60 in one, fair play!

On topic...new Z is like a romping satsuma. biggrin.gif

Some might say I have an odd brain (but I'll bet Glen isn't one of them) but this got me thinking ...

A lot of piano tuners are blind. If you've been blind since birth, do you have nightmares (or any dreams) ?

And don't tell me this is off topic. Because it's not.

I know Corvettes are still vey popular and nice cars - I'd love one. I meant they stopped making them after over 40/60 ? years.

Demise was a poorly chosen word.

An after market supercharger is seemingly on the way in Japan with the approval of Nissan JP. Also I understand the engine is not a new unit but a development of a 24v V6 3litre engine that is already been seen in a current Nissan top of the range saloon, QX, although that may just be an appallingly bad rumour from over the ocean.

i'll stick up for the 350z, as a new model car then it breaks the mold we so often see, but as the next generation to replace the 300zx then it sucks, the lines and style of the 300 are the best.

if someone wanted to loan me a 350 to play with then i'd jump at the chance.

Well to be honest I'm gonna be straight in there for a test drive if/when they are released over here. Wanna see how much they've improved over the Z32...ROFL biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

TBH I would have one. I'd do anything for a car that ran LOL. Super charging would be a better way to go with the aluminium block due to the power delivery characteristics. A supercharger provides boost with no lag (or VERY little lag) so you don't have to have high power at the top end (high boost) to get a good acceleration figure - the engine is always pulling hard. This means you can run a mild boost and see awesome increases in performance (not peak power though wink.gif)... If that makes sense?

Andy

The only area a supercharger beats a turbo

is in the vey low rpm (thats if you were

comparing it with a turbo)

A supercharger is inferior in every other respect apart from some drag cars.

A turbo operates at on average 70-80%

A supercharger on average around 60%

I would answer your question but I can't see it to read it.

I like the 350z, still think my 300 looks better though.

It just occured to me but side on the 350z looks just like an audi TT - In which case I do not like it, (long running battle with friend with Audi).
