I already have full Norton anti virus, and I have run a full scan, and it came back ok. I also ran C Cleaner as well.

That is probably your problem norton the worst and bloated av software on the market and even the corparate version is not much better.

I have worked as a IT consultant for over 8 years now and have seen norton miss virus after virus where another av scanner will find like five on the PC in question.

Go get your self Avg or Kaspersky and find out what a real av scanner is about. :D

Hi Kim

I use firefox on my home pc on windows 2000 no problems, but on my laptop with vista i have been told and have found using, safari the best browser. No pop ups, much quicker and ten times better than Ie.

Hope you get it sorted

Cheers

Cheers graham, I will look into that.

Currently im using google chrome. I perfer it over opera. firefox and internet explorer

Agree 100% re Norton - it's also the devils own job to remove it. I fixed a mates PC recently, he had already run an 'uninstaller' to cure the Norton disease and then I spent an hour and a half, properly clearing out Norton and making the machine boot properly, quickly and without ANY errors in the Event log.

Kim, have you got any Add-Ons in Firefox - they are more likely to cause problems than anything else.
