after all the effort i went thru to find a manual.....

im sick of the heavyest clutch in the world! couple that with the engine hesitation when you set off its begining to piss me off id rather have gone for a TT auto instead of an NA manual!! same price most of them so my advice to ppl is sod a manual box there knackering!! (unless its just mine)

i always thaut jap cars were reliable? are Z's the exception to the rule? mates na supra never brakes down and he abuses the crap out of it!!!! grrrrr wish i still had my redtop calibra!!

Can you respond to sithy's question 30 posts ago ?

Probably a crappy aftermarket clutch, If your smelling clutch everytime you pull off it could be a crappy stiff aftermarket friction plate. Na's dont have the booster do they?

WTF, my brains just gone trying to read this....

you got brains james!!!!!? ;) :D

My moneys on an organic clutch. I had one of these whne I was stock and it lasted 6 months.

So....... if the clutch problem and engine hesitation is so bad why did you buy the car in the first place????

im assuming you drove it before you bought it???

as an experinced NA manwell driver I can tell you that the stock NA clutch is so light its actually girlie:)

So there is obviously a problem with yours.

Edited by Slick Pete.

my 94 TT uk model has servo assisted clutch dunno about NA models tho

my 94 TT uk model has servo assisted clutch dunno about NA models tho

All TT's have Servo assistance, NA's do not..... and they don't need it either.

thats a point actually, when its been icy the clutch makes a weird noise when engaging and.... actually come to think about it it stinks all the time of slipping clutch.... it doesn't slip though - ill get the clutch replaced too!

As Legrath says.... sounds like an ebay special to me !

There must be a local person to give you some pointers persivear you will get there

Have had two Zeds and both need to have clutches replaced. On my TT the clutch went from a real pig to depress to something which is now quite light in my opinion. I'm sure the experts will tell you but perhaps they harden up with age. If its getting near the end of itsservice life then maybe it needs replacing. Not too difficult a job.

Try a TT system where the asistance is working in reverse.. thats what i had for two months now there is a heavy clutch for town! (Clutch De-sistance!)

Quit your bitchin' and get it looked at by a garage, or grow some muscles on those chicken bones you call legs ;)

after christmas im gonna stick a new clutch in and send the damn thing to the zcentre for a tune up - guy sounds like he knows what he's doing, no such thing as a cheap motor thease days,

lol! i forgot to read the 'must be positive' clause in the tearms and conditions? the 'must have a massive sig that takes over the whole page' clause is obviously well made use of!! lol!!

think the main reson im pissed off and negative about all this is i sold my xe calibra for 1400 and baught the zx for 1400 presuming the zx would be more reliable and a bit quicker and it just isnt! plus some tw*t dragged a knife along the length of the car then stabbed it ruining the paint

Can you respond to smithy's question 30 posts ago ?

Geez well after all that i must have missed the bit where you said what type of clutch you have, cos once known we could have told you if the clutch wasn't suited to your car perhaps, which in turn tells us possibly another issue that would save you the cost of simply buying another clutch, LOL LOL!!

Unless Luke has built an extension his house and now knows how to transfer from his head what he knows down to his hands, the Zcentre don't work on zeds, unless he's using perhaps a third party to do "tune ups" on N/A's, good luck! lol lol
