Hi Guys. The bodyshop has just phoned me saying that the spoiler is almost off, but it looks like there is a piece of the car missing, only thing i can think on is the black strip above the rear lights? He has said that it leaves a hole going into the car though and looks like someone has put ducktape over it. Does anyone know if there is a hole behind that plastic strip above the rear lights?

You need the perspex strip from Nissan. While you're at the bodyshop, tell them not to fit the rabbit hutch.

whats the rabbit hutch? The guys just phoned again saying that whatever silicone they have used to keep the spoiler on is solid and hes struggling to get it off, so ive now got to go over and see it, mibi the spoiler wont be removed then.lol.

What kind of bodyshop cant deal with removing a spoiler comfortably!!

A crap one.

A crap one.

anno. starting to regret putting it in there. mibi just get the bumper done and get the car back then.

yep u need the perspex strip can be sourced with or with out brake light bit also

should imagine z world will be cheapest , but they can tend to get damaged in the post !!!!

Nissan dealer is the cheapest for the perspex strip and collecting yourself means no worrys about courier damage.

tell them to get the spolier off with a long wire from both sides like cutting through cheese that will work.

Just back from the bodyshop and.........the guy feels that as i wanted the car back on wednsday night latest he felt rushed to remove the spoiler, as i told him i want it undamaged so as i can sell it. So the bumper is getting done and next month when im back from work the car will be back in to get teh spoiler removed and he is going to get some "cheese wire" as i advised him that should be the best route to removing the spoiler.

yeah if its the old spoiler i really wouldnt bother with it, they are really heavy and never come off in good condition, best place for it is the bin. They are hard to spray being rubber. Ive just had my rear spoiler removed last week, he was also scared to take mine off as i wanted it resprayed, then i thought.... na its crap, so im also going for the smooth look. oh and i have already got a perspex cover for mine and im taking off the rear wiper too :D

Eventually i probably buy another spoiler once i make up my mind :D

Yi never no, someone might want to buy it one day.lol. Its an aftermarket spoiler i have on not an old standard one. Where did you get your perspex strip jimmy, do you have a picture of it so that i know what it will look like, or do you have apic of it sitting on your car?
