Is there a way of checking if your car is currently taxed?

 

I've had a dig around the site and not found anything yet.

I've just got the car in the workshop to repair the propshaft bearing and just glanced at the tax disc in disbelief!!!!

 

I'm not sure I even had the reminder come through otherwise i would have deffinately renewed it back then.

that site doesnt work on imports?

why not look at the tax disc?

Tax your car online now as it is instant. and your tax disc would be with you around 3-4 days :)

Get it taxed ASAP and you might pull it off. If they then try to fine you maybe you could claim you SORNed it, sent the docs away, never got anything back and thought nothing of it. At least if you tax it now, its obvious you're not an tax evader.

Worse case scenario, you will have to back date to September I would have thought.

 

Just a thought, but if you ring them directly and explain, I really don't think they'll fine you. They will just issue you a disc that will expire in September 09 and charge for a full year.

I had forgot to put tax on my motor bike and was fined 40 the b@$!*^)_ the tax was only 15 for the year to.lol. So it then worked out it cost me 55 for the year.lol. But the advertise that there is no excuse for forgetting to pay your text when you get a letter through saying you will be fined.

Well I taxed it earler online.

 

They stated there was a break in the tax (I would have been happy to pay from September) and have started the new disc from December 1st.

 

So basically I will expect a fine to drop through the door sometime soon. Knowing my luck it will probably beat the tax disc in the post hahaha! :rofl::headvswal

What about that sorn form that you told me you filled in? You photocopied it and kept a copy before you sent it didn't you ... ;-) worked for me a few times with a kind word...
