well finally got round to finishing my ipod holder tonight, just need a new ipod to go in it now as mine is goosed. what do you reckon of it, im pretty pleased how it turned out. looks a slightly different colour from the console in the pics but its just the flash reflecting off the plastic is actually a really good match

hi there can you tell me were you got the gear stick from,ive got a nava and i want to chage it.

its connected to the head unit through a rgb lead that plugs into the bottom of the ipod so i can watch the movies on the ipod or listen to the music through the stereo. was only a few pound for the lead from ebay

got it from ebay a while back was about £50 they come up now and again on there think the ebay usa have them more often

yeah there is a space cut out inside that the wire and the connector comes through so you just pull it out conect it then feed it back in. getting a retractable lead for it though so that it just goes back in on its own without me feeding it

Thats excellent. I used to work at a car audio shop and we would always have people asking to do things like but turned it down because it is hard to get something so small and light to sit tight. No word of a lie its easier to put a tv in a headrest than it is to do something like this.

can you make me one or is it to hard?? chopping the dash ect??

 

can look into knocking up a few more after xmas if people are interested now that i know what im doing with it it shouldnt take long, the unseen bits are not that neat but if you dont mind that then its fine. all you need to do to get it fit is romove the ashtray and cut away its holder but leave the screw that holds the trim down i could make a tutorial if people wanted
