toger13
hi i wonder if you can help me i want to know if there are any turbo timers out there that do the normal thing but then when they shut down the engine they then alow another timer of say 2 mins to alow my water booster pump to run? its not for my Z, i have a saxo which i have turbocharged and it seams to be fine running its only at the dyno stage hasnt been tested on the road yet but when you switch it off even if its only been idling for a few mins you can hear the coolant boiling in the turbo so i am going to fit a booster pump which will run all the time normal then stay running for a few mins after switch off im sure the turbo will cool down to a suitable level pritty quickly with coolant through it and no hot gas? there is the challange for you all. i know its french but it will be fast Thanks Si
Yowser
Just connect the feed from booster bump to the 12v output on the Turbo Timer that the ignition feed is also connected to.
mario
you could buy a timer kit & a relay from maplins that would do that job.

Have you pressure checked your cooling system?
toger13
well i think it is getting hot as the coolant supply must me slow this is also why im fitting the booster pump to cool it all the time the engine is running fine and at perfect temp i really wanted the turbo timer to work just as a turbo timer the pump will have an ignition live so will work while the engine is running but i wanted it then to stay on after shut down i could do this easy with 2 timers but thought there might be a unit out there that had 2 functions that i could then relay to the pump Si

dunk300zxtt
Where have you taken the feed from for the turbo? You need to make sure it's a good supply, maybe even restricting the flow to the heater matrix to keep the pressure up? Just a thought.......... Funkysi
You don't need a timer for it. You just need a secondary cooling system and another thermostat.
toger13
turbo saxo :mac1: some one has to do it lol its 300 horse at the wheels though and about 800kg :D i have feed it from thermostat housing and it returns in to the bottom hose but as its a shitroen the standard pump probably doesnt have the flowing capacity to do the extra lines and the huge rad lol the french never over engineer any thing  im going to get a booster pump to help the whole cooling system and the proper digital controller to regulate the temp more accuratly does any one have any pics of the turbo coolant pipes on the Zed or know what size they are? 14mm hopefully? lol Thanks Si

What the hell gearbox and drive shafts are you using?!
toger13
lol havent got a graph yet its is still at the dyno place but it showed 300 at the wheels and while trying to smooth the delivery out to protect the box and clutch coolant started pissing out of the turbo pipes so have sent some new braded ones up which will hopefully be ok at the mo its using a 206 gti180 box with urated bearings and lsd and adaptor to fit my engine with custome made alot stronger shafts with an AP twin plate lug drive clutch soon to have an uprated dog box after mapping is sorted and paied for Si
