Might it just need tracking or could it be camber?

It's a 65,000 mile car on original suspension and after market 18" wheels.

Probably sagged original suspension. Springs sag over time and the bushes become weak.

If it's original suspension, then you'll not be able to adjust the camber. The tracking could be out, but the usual symptom for Zs is saggy original suspension.

I've got some low mile KYB shocks with slightly lower than stock springs.

I guess if I get them fitted the camber will still be out so I'll need a camber correction kit or adjusable top arms?

Any idea how much either costs to buy / fit?

Yes, you'll need adjustable upper arms and adjustable tension rods. Both are available from me (DTA) at a cost of £230 and £135 respectively. The rear adjustable upper arms are £160.

Fitting can be done by a competent mechanic. All parts come with instructions so should be straight forward to fit. I wouldn't take it to the likes of Halfords or Quickfit as they can't even fit the correct bulb in an indicator (from experience - they tried to fit a 382 bulb into a 380 holder ... muppets!) After they suspension parts are fitted take it for a full 4-wheel laser alignment and have them set it up correctly.

i had excessive tyre where on the inside front tyres turned out to be the tension rod bushes! ?

my inside edge tyre wear was caused by to much toe in! the upper links and adjustable tension rods soon sorted me out.
