I dont gamble the card was cloned from a well known supermarket

i retract my last statement then. i`ll get my coat. :D PMSL. surely you are covered through the credit card company ?

Same happened to me but the credit card company phoned me due to the "odd" purchases on my card. They asked me if I had bought any of these things, one of which was £700 on an online gambling site, I said NO and they replied that "they didn't think I had, as I had never used the card like this in the past". Up shot was that the refunded all the money taken and sent me a new card.

Get on to your credit company and tell them that your card has been cloned.

Come on mate dont keep us in the dark.which supermarket was it?

The supermarket will begin with 'T'.

Had mine done last month, took £1300 from my account!

Only just had it refunded by nationwide, was a flex account debit

card, not a credit card.

£800 was spent on one site, ordering hoodies etc.

Asked the fraud dept if it would be looked into, as obviously the

items must've been sent to an address, 'probably not' they said!

had my bank a/c cleared out about 2 years ago.

Turned out to be insider job although that didn't make me feel any better!

Money was refunded in the end after a lot of stress....

I was done for £1500 on my credit card. Both on betting sites one in Liverpool and one in Wembly.Got my money back the next day :D I had only used the credit card twice in a year once on a hire car in Spain (reputable company) and the other time on a sofa.

You know they do have credit card number generating machines, its all maths and odds, they will eventually get your number and if they catch it they empty it quick :(

Sad to see the lengthts people go to get money! But your right it could have been cloned (Its so easy to clone a card its unreal)

jesus...this seems a bit of a regular thing.....zed owners and empty bank accounts....hope you get your money back....

Jesus Sean, i know the greif it caused you last time mate after our chat, hope you get it sorted asap. I'll get me blowtorch and molegrips and we shall go hunting.

Let me know how you get on mate.

Glad it's being sorted bud, it's gutting to say the least!

Took about 10 days to refund mine. The woman on the phone at

the fraud dept asked if i ever used the 'pay at the pump', i said no,

thats good she said, she wouldn't divulge any more info, but there's a

woman at work who used to be a copper, i spoke to her about it, she

said the pay at the pump is notorious for being cloned/scammed/skimmed

whatever you call it!

Apparantly 'cash back' is probably the safest way of drawing money.

All my money got paid back now 2 x £20 have gone out of the account to a company called aqaplay its a online bingo company so be carefull got the fraud office looking into it this time

I reckon the 'Chip & Pin' cards are easier to clone than the magnetic ones. I've never heard of so many card clonings recently. If you'd rather sign a receipt than risk having your card's chip read, you can burn out the chip with a power supply and make it unreadable, so that you no longer need to enter your pin!

Its guna happen either way.... If you have previously bought something over the phone and given your Name, house number, post code and card details then that "company" or "person" have your details and can easily purchase something over the phone with your details and have it sent to a dodgey address while they wait for it on the day and sign for it in your name..... scary huh ;)
