They are not coilovers, despite the name.

Its just a cheap set of springs with an adjustable collar that you fit onto your existing stock shocks. There are loads of versions of these available on ebay.

I know that mrogers fitted a set to his, and then removed them.

dont use them!!!!!

i had a set similar on mine for a very short while! they are dangerous, your car will be uncontrolable at high speed. theres no control of rebound on the slightest of lump or bump. dont waste your money. go for propper coil overs my friend;)

actually thats a good point my cali was sketchy at high speed n that used to really scare me - ill not bother........but there soooo cheap!!!! grrrrr!!! what if i got all the adjustment camber stuff too?

what do you advise then?

  • Author

i could put em on - have a crash - then sue em and my a twin tub with the spoils

whats the worse that can happen you say, well you could die, i think it would be safer to cut your springs than fit these, they seem like a good idea but it aint

i remeber when i had a nova saloon (first car), i lowered it on 60ml springs and standard shocks, when braking hard on uneven surfaces the car would skid for a lot longer than normal due to the front end bouncing all over the place, it was the same with hard cornering

save ya cash and rake around on ebay, i got some tein mono flex coilovers for £400

Whats the worse that could happen you ask ???

Maybe this, an old Zed of mine, but you may not walk from it ?

Buy cheap, buy twice !! If you are still here ?
