Hi bud

A common problem with most zeds, most add an aftermarket guage and sender, but you can replace the original i should imagine.

Nothing to worry about tho

stock gauges aren't known for there reliability , there have also been a few posts on the subject lately have a search

not as quick as groover , i am in work though, lol

Im pretty sure thats normal, as the oil is cold its thicker so the gauge would read as high pressure and as the engine warms up along with the oil, the pressure settles back down again.......Anybody correct me if im wrong?

Yes, thats normal. Oil pressure will be higher when cold and lower when warm. It will also rise and fall with rpm.

Ofcourse depends on exactly what oil pressure readings your getting, but the stock gauge is not accurate.

What they said, takes a good 10min of driving from cold before it will come down to a normal level too.

If the gauge is working is its supposed to (ie aftermarket) and the pressure is low then chances are the engine is either running very hot or is low on oil, both = bad news!

My rover turbo was leaking oil after I fitted a heat gaurd for the turbo and I only noticed when I saw my oil pressure was a bit lower than usual when engine was upto temp. £15 gauge saved my engine!
