  2. Hi all Hopefully you won't mind me posting this here. I was hoping you guys might be able to point me in the direction of a 300 specialist within our local area? Don't mind a 60ish mile travel from Portsmouth. Many thanks, Chris

  3. Started by Alic,

Thought I'd pop my head in here. As some of you know I have relocated for university to Sheffield, so I'd like to say if there are any local members that would like a chat or have some zed jobs to be done I wouldn't mind donating a weekend. I haven't seen there is really much of a zed scene is Sheffield but it's worth a shot. Maybe one year i'll get the silver zed on the road again and bring it up... Ali

  4. Started by Punning Clan,

I'll be there tomorrow with my freshly washed shorty in various shades of blue, would be nice to see some others representing the Z. Fab event, huge variety of cars, poor advertising. They welcome 80s-90s Jap stuff too, which is rare. R32 GT-R next to a Bentley Blower type thing. The staff are likely to park you with the interesting stuff too.

  5. Started by (adl) phoenix,

I've been very busy and had lots of personal things to sort lately but I'm back for now and looking to sort some more events out. Im looking for ideas and suggestions. I'm going to look at doing a different version of the box Hill to Brighton run, probably box Hill to brooklands,

  6. Started by Chris300,

Hi guys Back in the day (don't ask how many "days" ago this was :wheelchair:) I used to organise rolling road sessions for car clubs that I used to be part of. I was wondering if there might be any demand for something like that here? I used to go to http://www.surreyrollingroad.co.uk/, we'd get 6-8 of us together for a morning meet, test the engines then drive off to a nice pub for a bite and bragging session.:clap:Not looking to do this until mid to late October, cars with Jim getting some TLC. If you're interested post you name up and once I have rough numbers I'll see if we can get a morning slot a possible discount. Cheers, Chris.

  7. Started by Joely P,

For me the quickest route is up the M11 from Essex, picking up the A14 (and joining Craig) before heading up the A1 all the way to Scotch Corner and cutting across the A66. This route isn’t the quickest for you guys travelling from the more central southern areas, it’s not too bad for Andrew and Gary but for Nick and Ian it’s a bit more of a detour? Do you fancy arranging a convoy route or do people just want to head up at their own leisure? Craig and I could cut across the A14 to join a convoy at the M6 near Birmingham or you could head east and we take the A1. Where are folk travelling from who are further North but might want to join a convoy?

  9. Started by (adl) phoenix,

We have the ace Cafe booked for the 3rd of November for an end of year meet, again 11am till 4pm I need make people aware the ace slots are very sort after, I think it's a good location for a meet and would like to continue however after our last turnout they have questioned if we can justify the booking, I have managed to hold onto Nov but if we can't get a good turnout it will probably be our last meet there,

  10. Started by (adl) phoenix,

Right guys, Secured the ace Cafe for Saturday 24th March 11am to 4pm, There wasn't many day time ones left, but we could also do an evening 6pm-11pm got a range of dates if anyone is interested, need at act fast to secure anything else so let me know what you all think.

  11. I went to this last year and it was a great event. Good family day out with plenty of things going on including a static classic car show and for those who want to participate, you can join in the parade through the town where the streets are lined with spectators. I did this last year and the cars got so much attention. It would be great if we could get a good attendance of Z's as I went last year not knowing what to expect. There is some videos on Youtube of the parade and my car is in it somewhere: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=leyland+festival+2017+car+parade More info: https://www.skiddle.com/whats-on/Preston/Worden-Park/Leyland-Festival-201…

  13. https://store.retro-rides.org/products/retro-rides-gathering-2018-weekend-ticket £35 for the entire weekend or £10 entry to Shelsley Walsh Hill climb. Check my photos from last year to see how good an event this is. I can set up a stand for the club and try and get us next to the Datsun owners club which would show a kinda cool progression through the years. I was part of their club stand last year. Facebook will have more info too should you want to check it out.

  18. While reviewing some of the calendar events, i have seen the opportunity to arrange another club event, as was also mentioned on the original thread. Original thread is regarding the wedding convoy at Beaumaris: https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?188140-Son-in-law-of-a-300zx-fairlady-owner-in-need-of-some-help-possibly My plan is to arrive Friday night, to enable a full day Saturday of driving/touristing, and then join the wedding convoy on Sunday. I have previously stayed at a B&B on Anglesey which i would use again, and the owner is a bit of a car guy too. http://www.taldrwst.co.uk/index.htm (01248) 430291 Michael Happy to find …

  19. Started by craig,

Club Weekends 2018 For 2018 we are trying to plann some club specific weekend events, rather than just daily events, covering the 3 main region of North, Central and South. All events include details of a hotel, and you can choose to stay at the same place, or somewhere else, or just attend the days you want to join us if local, up to you. Northern Event: Spring Bank Holiday Weekend, 25th-28th May. (This clashes with Modified Nationals in Peterborough, so could try to move this if members plan to attend ModNats). Exact dates to be confirmed, but either 25th-27th or 26th-28th. This is just an idea of the itinerary, and will vote or finalise neare…

  20. Started by Gaz 300,

Got an E mail from Andrew @ Blackwater Graphics (He controls our club shop) about a show at the Titanic Exhibition Centre on the 13th of August. This is the first year of this show and will be well attended by car enthusiast's from all over Ireland and the UK. If any of you guys want to attend then fill in the online form in the link below. I applied today and hope to hear back soon. http://builtevent.com/ https://www.facebook.com/builtofficial/

As title suggests would it be an idea to do something for the region before the year is out? Or is it too late to organise anything? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
