Hi all.. I have arranged a club stand at the 2019 Japanese matsuri at the museum of power in langdon, maldon. We currently have a 10 car stand booked, entry for displaying vehicles and occupants is free and i am looking for owners who would like to attend and put their car on the stand. The event venue has wntertainment for families so if you want to bring the family for a day out, there will be things to occupy the kids. Could really do with some support for this event and stand space will be first come first served. Should we reach the max number for the stand early enough we have the opportunity to increase stand space, so i would appreciate you g…

Hi all, as Summers just around the corner now, does anyone fancy a trip out to Brighton, for a spot of pub lunch, with lovely views across the Brighton shore line? Itinerary similar to previous years if that works for everyone? Meet @ 9.00am (ish) Car Park at the foot of Boxhill, just opposite the Burford Bridge Hotel, RH5 6BX (http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/hotel-...el/index.shtml) No great rush to leave, I seem to remember that here is a burger/van or similar so perhaps we can grab a coffee/tea, have a chat etc before heading off. Link from the last one, a couple of years ago now! https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?185654-Boxhill-to-Brighto…

Apparently the weather is meant to be good along the south coast tomorrow. Is anyone free for a drive and possibly a bit to eat somewhere. I’m free as a bird tomorrow and it would be great to take the 300 out for a nice drive and meet some new/old faces. I’m happy to drive out of my area so if your free please reply and we will sort out a place from there.

Over the weekend, Eastbourne held its annual free car show. My friend entered one of his Toyota Supras on the Saturday and he kindly let me enter my red Zed on the Sunday under his ticket. Here are some photos from the two days. Eagle-eyed viewers will notice a front bumper change to my car, although its missing the fog lights at the moment and there is a slight colour discrepancy between the bumper/bonnet and the rest of the car! There were 600 cars on the Saturday and close to 900 on the Sunday, as its not a classic show (Magnificent Motors) there are all types of cars from old classics, to brand new racing Astons. Its a nice day out especia…

Hi Guys I have had an email from Simon Fox @ Nissan asking if we would like to be parts of a big celebration event at Japfest on 5th May 2019. they are looking to get a large display of Z cars at the event to celebrate 50 years of the Z marque with a parade lap that hopefully will number around 250 cars. Simon has asked if 300zx.co.uk would be interested in being involved, I'm pretty sure we are !! so for those that want a lap round Silverstone but at a leisurely pootle, (you can book track time and drive much faster if you like), this would be a great day and a chance to be part of a big event. We would also be part of a big static display too so win win all round.…

I’ve quite enjoyed this show when I’ve been in the past and I’m free to attend again this year. Does anyone else fancy it and I could get us a club stand together? http://www.museumofpower.org.uk/Posters/2019/Japanese-Vehicle-and-Culture-Show-2019.pdf

Hi guys I was wondering if there would be much interest in a weekday meet? I appreciate this is against the norm but I thought there may be a few members who, like me, have family commitments at the weekend. If you’re interested add your name and postcode and I’ll take it from there. Chris (Po91rl)

This is an event/drive that Gary took part in last year. Reports from Gary last year were very enthusiastic and it’s been proposed that it would be nice for a few of us to to attend this year. Please find further details on the link provided and post your name on the list of interest. Feel free to ask any questions you might have after reading the link and I will try my best to find the answers. The Z Club are proposing to use this event as the opportunity for all of the Z clubs to converge and celebrate the many Z marque anniversaries in 2019. They will also be attempting to arrange a parade lap for all of the cars if possible. https://www.silverstoneclassic.com/ This can be a camping, hotel, single day, or however you want to attend style of event. I am looking into the idea of arranging a bell tent/yurt village for a bit of glamping instead. If anyone is interested in renting/sharing one of these then let me know and i will get some confirmed prices. The super earlybird tickets are now available for this event, which is a big saving …

Have a few dates available to book the Fat Lamb again next year. So let's vote ASAP and get something agreed with everyone who wants to go. Was a great weekend this year. Next year we discussed staying Friday-Monday, giving 2 full days of driving and/or visiting local attractions as a club. There are no dates free early in the year, so we only have the summer months. The initial dates discussed were for 9/10/11 Aug, but that might not be practical if 1 of the rooms is not available on 11th. This is the message from Paul:

Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery : Friday 9 - Sunday 11 November 2018 : NEC Great news! We have been allocated a 13m x 6m stand for NEC Classic Car Show 2018 and have highlighted where we are in Hall 5 in the pic. Have also attached the PDF so that you can read the other stand details better ;-) In theory, the stand is big enough for 5 cars, but that would leave little room for people. Some stand mock up some suggestions are also attached based on 5, 4 or 3 cars to go on the stand, so that we can discuss the merits of each, and eventually vote on how many cars we think should be displayed. The theme for th…
