I saw a red zed at 4.45pm today in Upholland, Wigan. It was LOUD, very nearly as loud as mine, lol. Only really caught the back end as I busy correcting the girl in the chippy, who thought it was a ferrari, LOL. But I did see 6 pot venom rear lights. Was it you?

Story so far........... Took the car to Jeff at Zedworld who did a great job on putting in a new prop shaft which took away that annyoing rumble under the seat. He also found a loose steering joint which he cured and suggested the discs which had been skimmed hadn't been on the inside rim. The vibration through the steering wheel improved but was still there. As suggested i changed the discs and pads and hey preston no vibration whatsoever......i was also running in the discs very slowly. Last weekend i took off one wheel to sand down some minor kerb damage and took out the car again to find some steering wheel judder had returned???????????????? …

after recent requests for 1 meg resistors to bypass the dett sensor members lose the facililty to protect against "dett" resulting in the £££££'s worth of damage to there motors...an ideal situation is to replace the original sensor but needs the upper and lower plenum removed so ive found this link that provides the know-how to relocate the sensor which imho is a lot better than a resister and still provides the "safe map";) http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=EZoOcHtv-LI&feature=related

Hey all I'm trying to get some new wheels and am looking second hand. I have Ksports 8 pots and 350mm front brakes and the 6 pot 330 mm rears. I have found some second hand rims but need to know if they will fit ok? Ive found some 18's on ebay but wanted some advice: My question is can I run 42 offset fronts and 48 offset rears? Also can I run 9's front and rear? Will a 72mm hub be a problem can I sort this with a spacer? Cheers Ron

As above, is there some way to check these to see if they are working but not properly? As in a certain resistance or something?

I'm in the process of fitting some aftermarket gauges and I have a couple of questions. One of my gauges is an Air/Fuel Ratio gauge. After reading the installation guide, the wiring is as follows:- Red:- Ignition + Black:- Battery - Gray:- 02 Sensor Signal Purple:- Dimmer (conect to headlight switch) What I would like to know is can I pick up the 02 sensor signal from the ECU and if so which pin is it?. It also refers to heated and non-heated Oxygen sensors with anything from 1 to 4 wires. Can I ignore this if I can connect to the ECU?. Secondly, I'm also fitting a boost gauge. What would be the best way to connect the hoses up as the instruction…

Sort of got started on it again after about 6 months due to moving workshop, having a baby etc!! Got the oil lines run to the tank in the boot. Pretty pleased with them as it's the first time I've really welded anything, bought myself a TIG off ebay, a few lessons off Leon at Alunox (who makes it look like the easiest thing in the world, b*****d :) ) and gave it a shot. They're 304 S/S so should outlast the car. Fuel lines run on the same brackets are annealed ali just because it's easy to bend. Also managed to eliminate a big loop I had on the front scavenge satage as I couldn't get the braided hose to bend tightly enough without kinking. Just did it in rubbe…

Thinking ive got a small hissing noise leak, ive searched on here and have made a very cheap DIY one. 1. Coffee jar lid from i think it was either nescafe or iceland. drill 8mm hole in. 2. cut valve from old bike tyre tube push the valve through the drilled hole, quite tight but will give good seal. Make sure to go in from the top of the lid as the base will make it easier to remove. Undo clip that holds the MAF housing, and squeeze in, perfect fit, Took me less than five mins to make and at a cost of nothing. Have only tried with foot pump at the mo, but have found the leak already. If using a pressure line i will see if the valve has a good seal. S…

I have a couple of queries. Is there any difference between a Jap and UK one? Can you put a UK ecu in to a Jap car? Is there any difference between year models? i.e. series 2 better than a series 1 etc If I have done a manual conversion on a car I know I can run the auto ecu but is it better to have a manual one? Thanks Lee

hey! This is my Z, it's gonna be in the UK next summer, in Woking, gonna get a complete motor/suspension/body upgrade Can't wait to join some Z clubs in the southwest london region and attend meets! i'm currently in the process of removing my window tint, got the passenger door done, working on the rear and the small passenger window at the moment i took a few pics to post up on the UK 300zx forum, though i might post some here aswell oh, and i know it needs a drop and some camber adjustment to tuck the rear in the fender a bit, but i'm done modding it for the next year or so. It's gonna be shipped to england and taken apart to upgrade whatever i…
